GOOD LUCK

I am writing this post to wish a good friend “good luck” as she tackles surgery for her recently found breast cancer. God, what awful words to hear “breast cancer”. All women know it is out there. All of us know we stand a chance of hearing those very words. All of us breath a sigh of relief at our annual mammograms when the words come back “all clear”. She didn’t. And yet she has borne the news with the strength and wisdom I have seen in her since I met her. I have felt, from the beginning, so blessed and fortunate when daughter Chels met, than married her love, Matt. What none of us realized was that we were getting a whole wonderful family in the bargin. How lucky can one family get?!  Leslee is Matt’s mom and the saying “Some people come into our lives and quickly go…others leave footprints and we are never the same” certainly applies to her. She and Phil have adopted all of my kids and treat  them as their own. We are welcomed at every opportunity and they are there thru good times and bad. So this is our time to repay that. We are here. We will be here. Lean on us. We cannot know your inner turmoil and struggle but we will be there. This may be a physical battle you have to face alone but it is an emotional battle in which all of us have picked up the gauntlet and are prepared to fight by your side. Good luck, good luck, good luck. Take care friend.
