SOAPBOX NUMBER 3010

Posted September 17th, 2007 by weskid

My new soapbox of the day. Could we please leave the Christmas trees as CHRISTMAS TREES???? Today I saw one decorated for Halloween. I have seen them for Valentines day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and yes, the 4th of July and every other holiday in between. I have seen them with tin hearts and dog treats and underwear. A Christmas tree is a Christmas tree for heavens’ sake. Please find somewhere else to hang all the rest of your decorations. Is nothing sacred anymore? Are we too lazy to take them down or what? What marketing genius(tongue in cheek) came up with this??? Flay them with a wet noodle I say!!. ARRGGGG!!!!!

    Hear hear.
Though maybe instead we should adopt the Jack-O-Lantern to other holidays as well.

Does this mean no Halloween tree at the wedding :( Just kidding :) You know what freaks me out are the easter trees…I mean at least they are covered with eggs, which is already kinda creepy, but I was saw a real Easter themed Easter tree.…um…kind weird…yikes…
