I have had, for many years, two tiny ceramic kiss­ing Mr.and Mrs. Santa’s. They have been a main­stay of all my Christ­mas dec­o­ra­tions for years, and are one of those asked about by my kids, should I not have them vis­i­ble. This year I decided to put them on the top ledge of my stove above the han­dles. I see them each morn­ing and have watched with amuse­ment as they have gone from kiss­ing, to her appear­ing to be whis­per­ing in his ear, to him now turn­ing a deaf ear. It may be that as Christ­mas approaches and he gets busier and busier he has no time for her lit­tle affec­tions, then her whis­pered ideas, to now his ignor­ing her. I do not move the santa’s so that is why this is so fun to watch. Who does move them? I just know there are some of you out there think­ing it is me using the stove or oven every­day that is mak­ing them slowly more around. Bah hum­bug to you I say, and where has the child in you gone???? For those of you who believe, as I do, that the Christ­mas fairies are hard at work pulling a prank, I will keep you posted. For the rest, well, you are a lost cause and well deserv­ing of coal.
