IS IT ME?

This will probably make a few non-Obama fans mad, but I hope not. I was wondering? Is it just me or is everyone out to nit pick to death anything and everything President Obama does? Hello! New president, new rules, thank God!! Yes, he met with a known American hater and dictator. Did you not see what I saw? President Obama looked serious, concerned yet respectful and ever inch the President. Is there a law written that says times cannot change? He is not handing over the united states. He is not compromising our lives. He met with the man to start a dialogue. I say it is about time. We need more friends then enemies. I am not saying trust the man blindly. We all need to work slowly and steadily to restore trust when trust is broken. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Are we so used to president’s who sit in the oval office sending our memorandiums and cover stories thru their press secretaries that when we actually have a president step out of the office, take the first step, try to rebuild bridges, and meet with controversial people, that we step back in horror and immediately assume he is not on our side? That we have to find fault with every word, every gesture, every nuance, every glance? What is wrong with you people?? It is the first summit in almost ever that everyone came away with feeling like something was accomplished, that there wasn’t all the rioting, that people who before would have written us off as snobs are now saying, “lets take a look at this?” How can this not be good? A friend of mine recently stated in his blog that President Obama is “playing so far above the rim” that we can hardly stand it. We don’t know what to do. And I for one, agree with him wholeheartedly. Keep up the amazing work President Obama. And to you detractors? If you can do better, time to get your name on the next ballot.
