what the?????

I guess some problems just resolve themselves. Came home tonight after dropping the munchkin off at her other grandmas to find my fern tipped on it’s side and the nest hanging out of it. I have no idea. The cats could not and would not have jumped that far as they could not possibly have known there was a nest in the plant.  A squirrel? All I can think of is another bird. Gosh darn it. Guess I can water my plant again but I was so looking forward to the chirping of little tiny birds!! I really have no idea what animal knew there was a nest in there. Sigh

Should have known it would be that kind of day when the first thing I see this morning out my den window is a squirrel sitting happily in my hanging impatiens basket, eating and tossing, eating and tossing. Thank goodness there was a child in the house as my language needed to be swiftly censored. Had to move the bird bath as thinking the little bugger used it as a spring board to the plant. I sure miss my Sophie dog who kept all the creatures that weren’t cats at bay and sometimes them too. Maggie just looks at the squirrel and thinks it is a brown cat with a long tail and goes back to sleep.

Am quickly losing my “Aren’t squirrels cute?” mentality. BB guns may be my new best friend. And I better not hear anything from you know who(PET_) about this or guess who is trapping and sending a few squirrels your way???

Dang, dang dang!!
