I hap­pen to keep all my extra boxes for gifts, wrap­ping paper and boxes of Christ­mas dec­o­ra­tions and stuff in a cor­ner of an old base­ment because I do not have an attic access. Most times it is rea­son­ably in order, but lately I have been grab­bing and going, leav­ing things scat­tered to and fro. It still did not explain what just stopped me in my tracks. Retriev­ing some gift wrap for wrap­ping a minute ago,  I just hap­pened to glance up into the rafters. Imag­ine my sur­prise when I saw, stuck up and over the pipes, one of my fake ever­green, pine cone dec­o­ra­tions I use at Christ­mas!! It had been lay­ing on the very top of the boxes so as not to get crushed and now it resides, firmly stuck above some pipes. Hilar­i­ous!! Of course I know this means I have a mouse but wow, what an indus­tri­ous one!! I am almost sorry it didn’t make it!! I would have won­dered in a week or so where the darn dec­o­ra­tion was!! Can you imag­ine how pretty that nest would have been?!!! Too, too funny!! That would have made “plat­inum mice nests” on TV!!
Okay, once I quit gig­gling I will fig­ure out what to do about the mouse, but in the mean­time, until I put up my dec­o­ra­tions, I intend to watch and see just where this dec­o­ra­tion is headed!! Oh my gosh!! So funny!!!
